Sport isn’t just about competition, it’s about friendship, having fun, and being part of a team. Unfortunately, for many kids with a disability, access to sport isn’t always easy or affordable.
Sports Access Foundation helps Australian children with a disability access and participate in sport by providing grants that remove financial barriers.
Our partnership with Sports Access is one of the founding pillars of Little Lids. It’s not an add-on or an afterthought, it’s part of who we are. We’re committed to enabling more kids to access play and excited to help create more opportunities.

Our Story
A simple idea between two dads. A few sketches, Lots of yarns and a strong belief that something small, like a hat, could do something big.
When we went looking for hats for our own kids, we kept coming up empty.
Nothing felt genuinely cool. Nothing felt made for kids and there was nothing our kids were stoked to wear or made us excited to give to our kids.
So, we decided to change that.
Little Lids started with a simple belief: kids deserve epic hats too. Hats that make them feel special. A hat they choose to wear everywhere because it is made for and means something to them.
Little Lids was never just about hats.
We wanted to create something that helped kids feel confident in who they are. Something that encourages kids to be kind, inclusive and look out for each other.
We’ve seen how powerful it is when kids feel proud of who they are and how that pride spills into how they treat others.
Giving back was always part of the story. Partnering with Sports Access Foundation felt like a no-brainer, helping kids with disabilities access sport, community, and the incredible feeling of belonging.
